Songs of Faithfulness

A couple months ago I did a blog post about songs that were inspiration for my current W.I.P. and now I want to share with you my Christian Worship playlist for A Crown of Chains, highlighting a few songs that really hit home with the theme.

You can save the whole playlist on Spotify here.

Here is the current roster of songs:

Faithful God – I AM THEY

I will sing through fire and thunder
‘Cause You are on my side, I trust You with my life
I know my story, it isn’t over
Even against all odds
You are a faithful God

This song speaks to the faithfulness of God, even when things are spinning out of control, even when everything seems hopeless.

Always Good – Andrew Peterson

You’re always good, always good
Somehow this sorrow is shaping my heart like it should
And You’re always good, always good

This song speaks to the goodness of God, even when life seems to be falling apart, even when it seems like there is nothing good in this world.

Nothing is Wasted – Elevation Church

Nothing is wasted
You work all things for good
Nothing is wasted
Your promise remains
Forever You reign

This song speaks to the sovereignty of God, even when everything feels too broken, even we can’t see a silver lining.

Worn – Tenth Avenue North

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That You can mend a heart that’s frail and torn
I want to know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all that’s dead inside can be reborn
‘Cause I’m worn

This song speaks to the healing power of God, even when we feel complete destroyed, even when we are too weak to carry on.

Mercy Light – An Epic No Less

You’re my mercy light, in the darkest night
All I ask, dont hide yourself from me
You’re the sparks at dawn, the one I’m waiting on.
All I ask, dont hide yourself from me

This song speaks to the faithfulness of God, even when we feel alone, even when we can’t feel His presence.

I hope you will check out some of these songs and give them a listen to get a glimpse into some of the themes hidden within A Crown of Chains (and Esther’s story by extension).

Let me know if there is a song that stands out or encourages you!
